Abstract
Passion and compassion for low income women of color is not an issue of lacking empathy, scientific or medical care. It is a social issue. Health care providers do their best to support, encourage, treat, and motivate those living with cancer; but many do not have the resources, training, or preparation to work as effectively as possible with patients from marginalized groups in a relatable and non-judgmental way.
