It can be used to start talking about the difficult feelings involved as well as to give practical information. The pictures are in sequence and can be used either by way of preparation or as a way of helping the patient make sense of what has already happened. Using this book while you are giving information will enable the patient to ask appropriate questions, and help obtain truly informed consent" -- p. 65
