Abstract
The BC Cancer Agency Tile Tales Collection tells of the powerful stories of cancer patients, their families, and care providers. This series of ceramic artwork tiles is on permanent display at Vancouver and Fraser Valley centres. The tiles adorn various walls in the Fraser Valley Centre and on the third, fifth and sixth floors of the Vancouver Centre as well as the John Jambor hallway on the main level.
Cancer patients, their families, healthcare professionals and volunteers have created unique images on ceramic tiles to express their personal feelings and experiences with cancer. A tale or short description by the artist accompanies each tile. We have selected a number of these tiles to highlight the collection for you here.
